Copa Santa Football Tournament

You would be based in a coastal area, situated on Spain’s ‘Costa Brava’. The average daily temperature in March and April is in the mid 50’s with 7 hours of sunshine. The area is renowned for its spectacular beaches which have been awarded the EU Blue Flag, a benchmark guaranteeing the highest of standards both in terms of the quality of the water, sand and of the services. Barcelona, the capital of Catalunya, is only an hour drive down the coastline and your tour can include a trip to this fascinating city and the Nou Camp home to FC Barcelona.

The tournament is spread over three days during which your side would play at least three matches across the first two days. Depending on your results over the first two days, the third day is finals day whilst those not qualifying will have a free day to either watch the finals or enjoy one of the many activities on offer such as the Port Aventura theme park. The accommodation is based on full board and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Your meals commence with dinner on arrival.

Your football tour would start on Thursday 1st April 2021 where you would assemble at your chosen airport for your flight to Barcelona or Girona. Your flight time would take approximately 2 hours and once in Spain your coach would transfer you to your accommodation. Once you have checked into your accommodation, and subject to flight times, there’d be the opportunity to explore the area before you enjoy your evening meal.

The following day after breakfast you would travel to the tournament for your registration and the opening ceremony. In the afternoon your group matches would commence. Once you have completed your matches on day one you would return to your accommodation and enjoy dinner at the hotel.

On the Saturday after breakfast you would travel to the tournament for your final group fixtures. Once you have completed your matches, you would establish your final group position and whether you have made it through to finals day. In the evening you would enjoy dinner before having the remainder of the evening free.

The penultimate day of your tour should your team have made it through to finals day you would travel to the tournament following breakfast. If playing in the finals, you would participate in the final matches and in the presentation ceremony once the tournament is complete. If you do not succeed in reaching the finals day, you would of course have the option to go and watch the action; alternatively, you may wish to enjoy a trip to one of the nearby theme parks such as Porta Ventura or you may wish to enjoy a tour of the Nou Camp Stadium, home of Barcelona FC.

On your final day, subject to flight times, you may wish to relax on the beach for one last time or purchase local gifts, many at tax free prices, before you depart your accommodation for your return flight home to conclude your tour.
